The co-op wanted homes families could afford and would want to keep. We kept the scale of the old warehouses along the quay and gave every home a balcony towards the harbour and a window towards the shared courtyard.
The frames are cross-laminated timber from Norwegian spruce; the colours come from the painted boathouses along the fjord.
Everyone gets a view of the water. Nobody gets the whole view.
