Bergen has rain on more than two hundred days a year. You can fight that with gutters and membranes, or you can design for it: deep roofs, covered paths, materials that look better wet.
At Birkely School the covered walkway is the widest corridor in the building. It is also the most used.
Good weather is a bonus. Bad weather is the design condition.
